Currently owned by a life-long traditional sailor, for the past ten years he has stored her inside a boat shed and performed an extensive restoration, which is described in the following specifications. Designed by R. D. "Pete" Culler to replicate a pilot schooner with a clipper bow, round bilge, full keel with attached rudder, and external iron ballast having a transom stern. Gallant is a very attractive tops'l gaff-rigged schooner sailing with stability and comfort.
